Introduction to Communication Systems

Principles of communication is the basic step to all advance communication systems. It may be the 2nd step of the stairs that lead towards advance. The pre-requisite  taught in one of the best engineering universities is

1)               Signals and Systems
                              by
                 Alan V. Oppenheim

In this subjects students are given the ideas of Signals and the systems from which they proceed.
The basic purpose of this subject is making students capable of

i)     Classifying the basic signals
ii)    Systems know-how
iii)   Properties of Systems

More importantly
iv)   Impulse Response
v)    Convolution of Discrete time LTI Systems
vi)   Convolution of Continuous time LTI Systems
vii)  Dirichlet Boundary Conditions
viii) Fourier Series Analysis
ix)   Fourier Transform
x)    Laplace Transform
xi)   Z-transform

The purpose of this blog is to present and introductory treatment of communication systems. By "communication" we mean conveying information from one place/time to another.  In studying this subject we shall restrict ourselves to the transmission of information over long distances by using electrical signals. Why we use only electrical signals ? These queries will be answered as you go further. The main thing of focus is bandwidth and the power of transmission.

The course book that we are following is

i)     Introduction to Communication System 3rd Edition
